Available position: Research Assistant for the Departement of History´s Chair of Nordic History at the University of Greifswald
At the University of Greifswald´s Faculty of Arts and Humanities there is a job vacancy expected to be available from 01.10.2021 for a full-time Research Assistant.
The position is placed within the project "Mission before Colonization: A re-evaluation of religious contact in Greenland and Sápmi between 1000 and 1700,“ funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschft (DFG). Together with the project leader and a PhD student, the holder of this position will examine the premodern history of religious and cultural contact in the Arctic and Fennoscandic regions. The focus of this post-doctorate project lies in the re-evaluation of material sources from earlier archaeological investigations of this subject. Publication of the result is expected in articles and a co-authored volume. The work will be co-supervised at Nunatta Katersugaasivia Allagaateqarfialu/Greenland National Museum & Archives.
