Call for Papers: The 15th International Ibsen Conference on “The Intermedial Ibsen” (CN)
The 15th International Ibsen Conference on “The Intermedial Ibsen” which will be held in Nanjing, China on June 24-26, 2024. Deadline for submitting abstracts is 01-01-2024.
The theme of 15th International Ibsen Conference will be “The Intermedial Ibsen”. In light of new developments in intermedial studies in literature and arts, the intermedial approaches to Ibsen may include the representation of artists in Ibsen’s plays, intermedial references to music and architecture, the Ibsen paintings by Edvard Munch and other artists, film adaptations based on Ibsen’s plays, remediations of Ibsen in musicals and dance theatre, and intercultural performancesof Ibsen, just to name a few.
The conference is hosted by Nanjing University, in cooperation with the Centre for Ibsen Studies, University of Oslo.
