Abstract

Crime Prevention in the Play and Performance “Crimes and Crimes”

The Catholic formula of repentance includes sinning in words, thoughts and omissions. Thus, sins committed in thoughts are no less serious - after all, our energy, goodwill or malice also affect people. August Strindberg is rightfully called the father of human nature, who was also concerned with the problem of subconscious demons in human soule. In my paper, I intend to analyze the insights revealed in his play “Crimes and Crimes” in the context of the first production of this play staged in Lithuania by Gytis Padegimas and other works.
