We at the Centre for Scandinavian Studies, Lund University, are delighted to announce the next CSS International Conference, Nordic Romanticism and Viking Culture, which will be held in Lund 1–4 October 2025.

Föreläsningen följs av ett samtal mellan Hallberg och Anders Mortensen, Centre for Scandinavian Studies.


The Scandinavian Research Centre at Hankuk University, Seoul, Korea, in collaboration with the Centre for Scandinavian Studies at Lund University, Sweden, calls for papers for inclusion in a research anthology on the theme "Scandinavian Literature in Asia". The deadline for first drafts is September 1, 2024.


The second issue of Nordlit 2023, which compiles nine articles on the theme Perspectives on Scandinavian Humour, is now available online.


We are very delighted to announce the CSS International Conference ‘Viking Culture and Romanticism’ which will be held at Lund University in the spring of 2025.


We are pleased to announce that the new online course Viking Culture Then and Now (7,5 Credits) at Lund University is now open for applicants. This is a half time distance learning course using the learning platform Canvas, with online lectures over Zoom. Study period is 2024-01-29 - 2024-04-14.
